Here I am again to tap the great Camillus knowledge bank here... (Tom, Cheryl?). I picked up a very nice Camillus tortoise shell handled (celluloid, certainly) dropped hunter lock back. I am wondering when it was made, and if it was part of a series (of tort shells), how many other models were there? Thanks in advance...

Is it a small (about 3" closed) lockback? I believe in '99 Camillus made a series of 1000 knives each in 4 patterns. Small lockback, medium stockman, large stockman and a trapper. Since then they have come out with the abalone set (congress, medium stockman, trapper, and small lockback).

Yes, Cheryl.. it is about that size. Very pretty handle material. I have picked up a couple of the Abelone knives... I think I'll have to visit your site and complete the series. Thank you so much...
