I have several Camillus knives but this one I just bought struck me as sort of unusual. I know Camillus made the slip joint folders for Cold Steel but I did not know they used some of the Carbon V marked blades for Camillus branded knives. This one is obviously the same knife sold with the Cold Steel name on it but the clip blade is marked Camillus as is the shield.
The blade marking are Camillus Made in the USA etched on the front and Carbon V Made in the USA on the back. The spey blade is not marked.
Was this a case of Camillus using up leftover blades from uncompleted Cold Steel knives?
