Your post is confusing. Are you asking about a specific model? VG10 is the steel. It's good Japanese steel.

Sorry if it came of as confusing, i just want to know how the camillus vg-10 holds up in terms of quality. is it good or plain horrible is what im practicaly asking. I have a delica, and i love it to death. I just want something i dont mind destroying or messing with

Destroying ???? You can destroy anything ! The Japanese made VG-10 is a very good steel .It works very well unless you want to destroy it.

Hehe well not quite destroy ,but like i said something i dont mind ruining. I agree with vg-10 being very good steel thats why i like this affordable option made by camillus, yet i need more info before i buy it

Still confusing.

Personally, I stay away from camillus because they aren't really camillus anymore. Can you give us a specific model you are interested in?

All he is asking is how well does Camillus do VG10. How is their heat treat, does it seem to take and hold an edge as well as other manufacturers that use VG10. Regardless of whether you agree with the OPs intended use of the knife, this seems like a worthwhile question.

Wow, thank you!!!
It would be a nice beater at the Camillus price.
The only thing for me is that Camillus using vg-10,it was used exclusively by Japanese companies and produced in Japan and I am not sure they be willing to share its use with Chinese manufacturers,as you may/or may not know a lot of the chinese manufacturers put whatever steel designation on a knife that helps them sell it.

Exactly , which is why im hesitant to buy one. Although it mighy be worth the plunge for under fifty dollars
