Hello,

I was trying to find out where i could find out some info. on a knife i have and where to find the rest of the series.

I know that Camillus came out with four knives for Smoky Mountian Knifeworks that included 4 3/8" trapper patterns of a Charging Bear, Running Deer, Razorback Hog, and the American Eagle. I would like to find these four knives if any of you know where i can find them it would be greatly appriciated.

Also the one knife i do have is Cammillus the blade is 3 3/4" etched American Wildlife. the other side has the no. 11 on it. The handle is has brass bolsters with a gold Deer Head on it. Just wondering if this knife is a seperate series that Camillus came out with or what? And if it is a seperate series i would love to find the rest of these knives too.

Thanks for all your Help,

Shane

The "American Wildlife" knife series was introduced during the mid 1970's. The first edition was the model #10 Large 2 blade folding trapper with four different pewter animal inserts in the handle. The second edition was the model #10 with four new inserts. The third edition was the model #17 "Wildfowl" series that featured four different inserts. The fourth edition was the model #32 Folding 2 blade fish knife and the model #1006 Fixed blade fillet knife. The fifth edition was the model #11 LOK-BACK knife that was offered with four different gold plated animal inserts.
Recently we reintroduced the model #10 knife with 9 different gold plated animal inserts. These may still be available from Smoky Mountain Knife Works. If you are unable to locate these knives, contact Wendy Wilson at Camillus (CAMCUT2@aol.com)and she can help you.

Thanks for the info. I never knew they had that many different series. I might have a bigger chore than i thought in trying to get them all. but my main focus will be the fifth ed. first and go from there.

Thankyou for your time,

Shane
