Hoping someone can help me out . I was given this camilus kbar (picture attached) by a fellow marine years ago. I contacted camilus a couple years ago for info on this knife and got the run around . I recently was told that camilus went out of business and closed there doors. So now i have this knife with no info on it such as original cost, current value , year made, etc. etc. Any info anyone can send my way would be greatly appreciated.

Your Camillus commemorative looks like it may be of circa 1992 manufacture. This is just a guess of coarse on my part. Your photo is not bad but it shows little detail. How about getting a closer shot of the tang stamp and the blade etch and including the blade and overall measurement of the knife. As for original value and the further information you have requested, you need the moderator called CAMCO or the members Thomas Ligget and or Phil Gibbs to chime in here. They are the experts here on all things Camillus!.

One thing I can tell you for sure is that these knives are currently increasing in value due to the company's recent closure..

Good luck and BTW, Welcome to the forum.:)

Best,
Anthony
