Is the camo finish on the 511 overun, regulator and the current boss jack bead/ sand blasted? I guess it could all be in the coating. Mostly wondering if it is like Strider knives. Where they put the black coating and then bead blast off the tiger stripe areas.

Also while I am on coatings. Why doesn't swamp rat use jungle green as a regular finish option? As well why isn't the scrapivore orange a regular offering?

Correct me if I am wrong but jungle/od green was the standard option on the chopweiler and ratweiler.

Someone mentioned that the camo options might be duracoat? Im not sure there's any bead blasting involved.

I agree that Jubgle Green should be a permanent option w/ Swamp Rat & Busse. Same with Arctic White!

I dont know.

But I got to see an orange scrapivore in person at the indy 1500, and its really really smooth/slick. Nothing like any of the other coatings. Its almost like a high gloss powdercoat. It looked awesome, but being a little skeletonized neckknife it was too slick for me. I know it would probably be completely different with a paracord wrap and completely awesome on a larger knife with handles (SAR series).... just my 2 cents

I get the sense that the Busse camo overlays colors on top of the others. For example one of my urban camo coated BJs shows some gray under the black coated areas. So I'd guess they start with a gray coat then add the black on top.

It's a color over another color, both powder coat. If you begin to wear down a camo blade, you'll see the other colors show up underneath it, and all of them wear down in the same manner unless one of them is coyote and the other black.

I dunno about the camo coating but I agree with jungle green. I also want some of that muddy action. Hoping for some muddy with the Rodent 11 series.

Bring the Jungle Green! I am going to guess that the orange is pretty popular and that is what is limiting it's availability (but I could be way off).

The orange coating on the scrapivore is the thickest coating I have ever seen. You can even see the cross section when sharpened of how thick it really is. Also, it is super tough. I re-habbed a scuffed up one and polished the orange coating back to life. It looks brand new.
