I picked up a battery powered "pocket bike" for my granddaughter Emily a few weeks ago.

Emily is a little army girl, she likes everything to be camo colored, so she asked if I could paint the mini bike in camo.

I bought some spray paint and prepped the plastic, and since it was raining here today (thus precluding my original idea of going for a nice hike....) I tried my hand as a camo job.

Well - it was a first try anyway.

Nice job! I have a couple tree stands I need done..:)

.

I can't see it so I assume you did a good job on it Andy.;)

I once read if you put a clear satin coat on it'll keep the colors from scratching off as fast.

That looks great, but I can't see it!!!

Lookin' good! Like others, I can't wait to see it when complete.

The last time that I camo'ed something I "cheated" and used a dip... :D

I took some pictures of the bike all back together today - I still have to do a little trimming where the fairing is broken, but otherwise this will do for a while -

I would add some kind of yellow if I were doing it over - and I may do so and heed the advice on covering the paint with a coat of clear.

I will also sand it the next time and use some plastic primer to help with adhesion.

Like I said - it is a first try, and I was happy with the way it came out overall. I learned a lot about how to put the plants on and what colors look best in back and on top layers.

When Emmers comes out and rides it I'll get some pictures of her on it as well.

Very nice job :D

Good on using the leaves for pattern, that's what I learned to do from my grandpère when making a camo.
