Here is a set that I recently finished. The bowie is made of 5160 and the blade is 11" long. It has stainless fittings and an African Blackwood handle. The hunter is 4 1/2"s of 1084 and features the same handle and fittings. This is my first piece that I have fileworked and even at that, it is a simple groove. I guess Im just a simple kind o' guy! I was given alot of freedom on this set and loved it. Thanks for looking.

My kind of style...clean, elegant and classy.
I think you have accomplished the knife equivalent of the simple black dress.

Now you've gone and done it. Danbo will be in here any minute describing these as "lovely". ;)

This pair rocks Brett. "Elegant" was the first word that came to mind for me as well. There is a real graceful flow to the lines of the big camp knife and the small hunter looks like a handy precision tool.

I can't wait to get my mits on this set! :D ;)

Simply Mahvelous! ;) :)

Brett's work just keeps getting better and better.

Thanks for the comments!

Lin, I really like blackwood so far. It works easily and seems stable. It has alot of activity in the grain at times and is "elegant" to me.

Roger, I appreciate the freedom that you allowed me on this set. I hope you enjoy it!

Thanks again,
Brett
