I thought those in this forum might enjoy this style so im gonna post it here to get some feedback as far as design go.

This is one ive been sitting on for a little while now, and finally have it just about finished, it's 15 5/8'' of 1/4'' 01 tool steel. The blade was hand rubbed to 800 grit, then rubbed out with a polishing compound. I then gave it a quick etch, to take away that reflective shine, and then followed up by hand rubbing with a paste to remove the oxides from the etch. It kind of has a polished gun metal grey color to it.....or something like that:confused:

The handle is ironwood burl and has a nice palm swell to it, and the pins are nickle.

Owell, thanks for looking.

Unfortunately my edc is an empty wallet as well.
That is beautiful to my eyes. I hope you make more.

Real Nice, It sure Is "Beautiful !" I Love Big Blade's, And the Ironwood Scale's look to be formed/shaped for a Good Grip ! "I Like It ! Thank's for sharing the picture's, What Sheath design/type are you gonna give that Beauty ?

I'm not normally a fan of over large camp knives, that I have to say that is pretty. I love the burl wood handles on it. Classy!

I really like the blade shape and design. Finish on the knife looks great. My only concern is the way the handle scales sweep downward by the front of the handle. From a artistic, aesthetic view "I Love It"

From a practical sense I am unsure. If you had to choke up on the handle for finer work it may start to hurt in very short order. The handle contours look very good for chopping and I would love to see some overhead shots of the palm swell you discussed.

Very nice looking lines on that knife.

That is one slick chopper! I really like the blade shape, plus that handle looks perfect for using that type of knife.

thanks all, i plan to make more similar, and some larger, this is a stock removal piece, but soon as the new shop is set up, i intend on forging some real giants:p
