Camp Fire donation give away (Cancelled)

I live in Chico California. Right next to us up on the ridge is Paradise, CA. As you probably have heard on the news, most of Paradise burned to the ground last Thursday.

My good buddy Ron and his family lost their house and everything they own in that fire.

They nearly lost their lives. Ron's story of pulling his truck off the road and running forward through the traffic jam to get to his wife's car is pretty harrowing. There are many similar stories from that day and night.

The point of this post is to try and generate a bit more funds to help out Ron and his family.

I am giving away this knife. It is a parts knife of sorts put together by a fellow who does custom scales and the like for slipjoints. It's basically a GEC 15 frame and blades with stag scales.

Some guys in a Facebook group had it made and gifted it to me several years ago. I figure giving it away for this cause would be ok.

This will be done on an honor system as I don't want to deal with trying to verify all donations (if that is even possible). Chime in here saying you are in and make a donation on the page I linked.

I'll let it run till Monday the 19th and then randomly pick a winner.



 
Good cause to contribute to. A good buddy from the Marines lives in Magalia and works in Chico. As of yesterday he was told his house is ok, but he hasn’t seen it yet. His mother lost everything. Utterly devastating is all I can say. Hope they get back on their feet soon!
 
I'm sorry to see that this was cancelled before I ever even had a chance to check the site. I wish your friends well on their recovery from the fire.

Some of us, in different time zones, were asleep.

Cancelled Schmancelled...i donated anyway.
Ive seen enough of that devastation to last me a lifetime....ive choked on it and been singed by the breath of the demon.Ive sat in the aftermath with brave men and women knowing that we did our best against all hope .Too many times.
The stench of destruction came straight back to me looking at the blackened ruin of their house.
