Tough decision here. The Rogue has a 7" A2 Blade. The Canadian Camp has a 6.5" A2 Blade. The CCK is aesthetically a little more attractive than the Rogue IMO.The ergos on the CCK look a little more comfortable than the somewhat coffin shaped handle of the Rogue. The Rogue is approx.$30-$40 less than the CCK.I'll probably get the lowest price handle material for either(black or green micarta)
Has anyone handed both? What are your opinions on them?Is there much of a difference between the two?

Which ever one I go with,I'll be getting a custom lowrider "piggyback" sheath to hold my Lil' Nessy Too,from one of the fine sheathmakers here.

Now when I say Camp Knife,I mean a knife to deal with heavier chores than my 4" Nessy...chopping,batoning...etc.IMO The Lil' Nessy is best suited for smaller chores like food prep,cleaning/skinning game, making fuzz sticks...etc

Any feedback you could provide, would be appreciated.

Thanks,:)

Ive owned done and Id go with the Rogue, either will work great.

I have both, and have used both for your stated purposes.

I'd go with the CCK - it's designed as a camp knife, and works really well as one.

The Rogue is really designed as a fighting knife, and has a thinner edge to maximize slicing. While chopping some knotty pine with it, the edge got a bit wavy. BRKT fixed it, but the slightly heavier edge of the CCK handles such stuff better.

At the same time, the CCK is still great for taking apart large game animals, if that's your need.

Thanks for your input Grampa & caine.I'm starting to like the Rogue more & more, but what you said about the thinner edge of it,got me thinking I may be better off with the CCK.I can't help but admit that $30-$40 difference is playing a lot on my decision.I'm not in the best financial condition right now.

For instance I just saw two knives I've been drooling over for along time now in the for sale thread. The 440V Boa with the colorful handle & the AlMar Nomad(for great prices!!).I would've loved to be able to say "I'll take them both",but business has been terrible lately.

Thanks for listening to my grievances

Your Rogue picture is the old version. The current ones are slightly different. If you're piggybacking the Nessy and want a chopper, the Rogue is the way to go. The Canadian Camp at 3/16" is a thinner slicer type of knife. The Rogue at .215 is your heavier duty knife.

Here's a good comparison review of the two knives:

I'm going with the Rogue.It reminds me of a bowie..& I love Bowies:D

Thanks for all the great advice guys:)

I was in the very same dilemma between those two blades and ended up getting the Canadian Camp. I couldn't be happier...
