This is a Pack Knife made at the request of a customer from Alaska.
Seriously, he wanted something that would perform basic camp-type chores, with an added feature:
He wanted it to function as a "last resort".
He often finds himself in the company of grizzlies.
He also carries a .454 on his belt.
He said that if it came down to him and the bear going to the end, he knew nothing could stop the bear from doing what he was going to do if the .454 didn't already do its job.
He wanted to at least get one last lick in and wanted to show that he had tried his best.
So this knife is going to Scott Teaschner for a pancake type cross-draw.
Let's all hope he never needs to use it.
It's about 8" of W1.
The random hamon you see is purely natural.
The handle is Cocobolo and the guard is stainless.

Cool knife for a cool place. ( Couldn't resist that , Karl..)

Good to see a real, and really good-looking, camp knife that's headed for real use.

Hope it sees lots of use Karl (Just hope its not on a mad Grizzly).

Always does my heart good to know that my knives will actually be used instead of sitting in a safe somewhere. I'm sure you feel the same.

Let us know if there is any feed-back.

Robert
