Hello all,
I am looking for a new camp/survival/etc. knife. My only requirements is that is be over 7" blade and under $80.

Well that's a bit of a tough order to fill. But fortunately there are options.

There's the Condor hudson bay knife, the KA-BAR heavy bowie, cutlass machete and kukri machete, the Ontario SP10, SP8, SP50, SP43, SP45, SP53, and that's just what's off the top of my head.

use your google fu and shop around, most of those knives can be found under 80 pops. My first choice would be a BK9, these days it goes over 80 but when I got it it went to me for 70...another solid performer is the condor boomslang

I was thinking the Condor Moonshiner or Hudson Bay might be a consideration. I am kind of interested in a Moonshiner to try out due to its relatively low cost.

BK-9 would be my choice, but it's above your budget (well worth it, though). I'd recommend a Condor Parang, Golok or Pack Golok, they are tough, well made and cost around $60.
