#9 in the bag. Just finished this camp knife for my brother. His birthday is today. 5.5" blade is 80CrV2, handle and bead are faux ivory. Tapered tang and hidden lanyard hole. Balances right at the finger scallop. Opinions welcomed.

Can't get enough of this one.
The design and workmanship are outstanding. The handle and leather work take the cake!!

Nice work! Love the tapered tang and handle sculpting. Maybe a bit small to be called a camp knife...I personally think of a chopper for a camp knife. Super nice knife though:thumbup:

I love the handle sculpting, it looks very comfortable in the hand. Overall a very beautiful knife! (nice leatherwork as well!!)

Buddy - you hit that one out of the park and into space.

There are some well respected makers on this site who, in my opinion, haven't posted anything that nice.

Thanks guys. Your comments mean a lot to me since I look at many of your works with admiration and respect.

Ben, I agree. I'm calling it a camp knife only because my brother is going camping in a couple of weeks. The last time he went camping he used a very small bird & trout I made for him a while back. It was only supposed to be for when he goes fly fishing. So I thought he should have something more appropriate for camp chores.

Very nice, only thing I would consider, and only my opinion, is make the finger cut out on the handle less pointy or rounded off a bit, so it will be comfortable in a different grip position, as chores sometimes make a different grip on the knife necessary. Really nice. Of course hard to tell how it will handle in hand judging just from the pics.

Love it! Very clean and polished.

I like the three pin location and the tapered tang with the lanyard slot. The handle shape is appealing to me, and your sheath is very attractive too!

Impressive!

Two quick questions, Do you make knives like this for your brother-in-laws? (If you have any). If the answer to that question is yes then my second question...Do you have any single sisters? :) That knife is gorgeous, you have a very lucky brother. Nice job.

fz1boxer,

Sorry but my membership level here doesn't permit me to discuss prices. I can say this though, at this point this design is a one-off and I have no plans to make another right away. I have a number of other knives that need to get finished before I make another one of these. Thanks so much for the interest!

SalemScott,

Sorry my friend, Mom only had boys. Thank you for your compliments.

It may not be camp size, but it can sure think like a camp. Well done. Many curves in all the right places.

I like the result a lot.
