Camp Knife !

Hey Mark ya got me thinking about the camp knife after our conversation and I wondered if something like a cross between your old Survival knife and a Hudson bay might be cool !
What do ya think ?

I was just thinking about a camp knife and emailed Mark. I think a spearpoint with the handle shape of the Wohlwend/Laconico knife would be the cats meow. I would probably want a narrower blade than you Pit but thats would be an allaround awesome knife! And with the new steel!

Super quick rough sketch on a post it but this is the kinda shape I was thinking. Maybe a blade about 8" with 5 1/2-6" handle including the exposed pommel.
Is it worth me drawing a better one up ?

looks interesting. perhaps a little bit pointier and reduce the descending length of the pommel/tang by 1/4 to 1/3 perhaps? it just seems to hang WAY down in a slightly overexaggerated way that looks like it might be prone to snag stuff when sheathed and on the belt.

the scales seem a bit short in the rough sketch... seems like if your hand is at the extreme front or rear you'd be running out of scale to grip. yes, i understand it's a rough sketch, but that's why i'm mentioning it now.

good ideas as usual tho! :D
