Camp Tramp or Rat-7?

My main focus is having a compact chopper for day hikes. I'd like the blade to perform well as a skinner and slicer as well in case I get stuck for longer than intended. In short I want a blade that will do just about anything "good enough" and not weight down my belt much. I like the Camp Tramp a lot but can't help taking a second look at the Rat-7 for the price and much shorter delivery time. Anyone have both? A head to head comparison would be invaluable. I'm particularly interested in which is the better chopper.

I have a camp tramp and love it. I don`t know that it`s the answer to all situations, but its a great knife.

I don't have both, but I DO have a Camp Tramp. It's about the most bang for the buck knife there is. Ever wonder WHY the delivery time is so short for these other knives? Are they being knocked out, or is attention being applied to detail?

Yes, you may have to wait a bit for a Swamp Rat, perhaps not, but it's worth it.

Geez, twist my arm why don't ya! I went back to SRKW and tacked a CT onto my order! ;)

Tan is very nice. Mine happens to be on an extended vacation in Tenn. Bummer! The Black one works just as well, but I'll be happier when both are home. Soon I hope, soon.
