Campaña, made by Pedro Bermudez Cotarelo. Campaña is the Spanish name for the knife type also known as sodbuster, mineur, herder, hippekniep, etc. It is made with a green micarta handle and a ACX-380(X50CrMoV15C) blade. The handle is nicely rounded, the action is smooth, there is a tiny bit of horizontal play. The 7,5cm (3) blade it ground a nice thin convex to the edge.
I received it yesterday evening from Barcelona. I sharpened it and it cuts great! In to the pocket it went.
I first learned about Pedro watching YouTube videos of him making Taramundi style knives and like how thin he ground the blades. They look like knives designed to be used and cut very well! When I saw pictures on Facebook on this Campaña I contacted the seller and (with the help of Google translate) ordered one.
