The members of this forum are likely to be interested in the newly reissued Camillus Becker Campanion. Would you believe in a 5" (13cm) knife that chops like a hatchet? I wouldn't have until I tried it....

Ok, ok. Ya talked me into it. I ordered one. Are you happy now?

I just finished a review for Tactical Knives on this blade. Good piece. Mike Perrin and I taught a wilderness skills class in Costa Rica to 35 Canadian high school students using this blade. I was extremely happy with it. The handles are first class and fit like a glove.

It also has an added feature that wasn't even designed into the blade. Something I didn't realize until Will told me what the blade was made from.

I plan on using the Brute during the Peruvian military survival school in June.

That's good to hear, Jeff. I'm looking forward to mine. I have some lilac bushes I need to remove and I think the campanion will be a good one to try it on.

I also ordered the camp knife but I don't think that will show up till June or later.

Can't wait to read your review.
