Took the Campanion out today and cut a tree down. I was amazed how easy this knife dug into the trunk of the tree and cleanly cut down this 8" in diameter black birch tree. No edge deformation or chips, minimal wear on the black coating. The handle is a bit on the beefy side and my hand did ache after a while. I would like to see the handle a bit thinner. I have big mits but must have fairly small fingers. The knife sharpened right up on a DMT bench stone.

This is a wonderful knife and a great price, too...the question is what BK&T is next.

I am glad to hear from someone who has used thier campanion, I posted a request about the knife on the wilderness forum a couple of days ago with no results. I am waiting for mine to be deliver. I'll get back with you with my own results in a week of two.

The knife and sheath system make this knife a very unique one in the price range...I do not think you will be disappointed.

Let us know what you think when you get yours. BK&T are not designed to sit on a shelf. They're designed to be used and yes....abused.

I have to agree...the Campanion is excellent dollar value for a knife. Do not be afraid of using it in the least!
