Hey I picked this one up roached and it's like none I've worked on.
It has nickel silver hollow pinned bolsters and all brass liners!
4 line tang stamp.(but the blade is broken)
The badge is nickel silver also.
I've had them brass/steel, all steel, 4 line and 3 line tangs.
When was this made?

Probably 1940/1941. 1942 and forward, the contracts were for all steel.

Awesome, Thanks!
The drawing is incorrect though, the bottle opener/screwdriver should be in front of the spear blade.
It appears to be a 1940 engineers knife.

Here it is when it arrived.

Progress so far...

Hmmmm.... I had never noticed that before. You have a good eye for detail.

You also do a really nice job in restoring these knives. I've seen some of the others you've done.

THANKS! I love these old knives.
They deserve a second life. Not many appreciate them now that those flippy blade pig stickers are all the rage.
There's no soul in the new designs.
There's a little bit of the craftsmen(and probably women as the war raged on) who polished and peened these knives together.
I hope some of my knifes hit the beaches at Normandy. I home some cut NAZI communication wire.
