Michael,
Well nice combo, if you are camping in a war zone :)
You've got a beautiful Rinaldi, where is it. . . . Good god man, the TTKK is the perfect camping knife :)
I have always liked the cz75.

Sorry, I may have mis-stated that. The green one is more of a "wandering around in the woods" sort of thing. My intention is to leave it hanging in the general camp area, then grab it if we're going exploring or something. This is the one I actually wear around camp.

D2 TTKK
Innova X5
Leatherman Flair

:D Must be a remnant of my former life. Air Force Space Command, Mobile Command and Control Squadron (MCCS) / United States Space Command Mobile Consolidated Command Center (M-triple-C).

I guess it's a good thing it's "car camping".

Michael, with a new Inova X-5T on order, and being a fan of Trace Rinaldi's and owner of an early TKK (before they were TTKKs) I have to say I really like that second belt alot. Just to make sure, both belts are WIs, right?

I've got to scrounge a digital camera or get my old 35mm out again, there's lots of cool stuff to take pictures of. :)

Yeah, the green one is 1 3/4", 5-stitch, and the black one is 1 1/2" 5-stitch.

One downside to the 5-stitch 1 1/2" is that a mini tek-lock won't quite close over it.

:(

Other than that, they're great. The black one is a 31", and the green one is a 34". Figure 2" of adjustment either way when properly fitted.

Mike

this is exactly the kind of set up I am aiming for...I even posted in the wilderness forum to see if anyone is doing this...

I have goodies on order from Eagle and SOE to accomplish this set up!

Nice set up. I have my stuff on a GI pistol belt with the harness, otherwise my pants sag when I'm hiking!

Nice rig. Had to have a harness for mine also. After reading this thread I had to check on my web belt and gear that I keep in the trunk, and noticed that I have a CRKT Stiff Kiss attached to a fanny pack that I use during squirrel season. I forgot all about that knife.

Really like the CZ, and the D2. Could you post a pic of that D2 and CZ out of the holster?

Thanks!

I am able to use Mini-TekLoks on my WI 1-1/2" CSM model. I would have expected the 5-stitch to be a little thinner, if anything. Have you tried pushing REALLY hard to close it? :D

Thanks for the pictures. It is always interesting to see other people's gear.

You have some real nice stuff, but you must be a far more patient guy than me. I would definitely go nuts after an hour or two of hiking with that equipment on. Part of that is because I'm a small guy. I don't mind the extra effort, but it slows me down and makes me less mobile. I cover the basic emergency items, but am always looking for ways to reduce weight. Over the years, I have settled on a very minimal set of stuff. Of course, the tradeoff is that I may be leaving some things at home that I could use and regret not having.

And I thought I was a gear hawg!! Holy Cr@p what alot of stuff! ROTFLMAO! Actually, I think you've got a pretty cool set-up. You should be squared away for nearly any contingency. It's just all that stuff of a belt - dang! Of course, I carry more than that daily on the 3.5 urban miles to and from work; and in the woods I'm at least as blade heavy/happy as you, but most of mine rides in a day pack. Please don't take offense at my post; that's just a lot of stuff to tote on a belt.It makes me feel good to know I'm not the only one carrying half my body weight around in the woods just to go off and pee somewhere.:D ;)

WOW....bloody wow...double bloody wow!!!!!

And I thought I was a gear knut!!!! Gee..you have some amaaaaazing stuff there. It's good to know that I am not alone out there. I also carry the kitchen sink in another pouch somewhere behind my left shoulder...LMAO!!!!

I carry..let me see.....1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8...no...9..yes...9 knives on me when I am in the great outdoors here. Then also all my personal survival gear which is just too much to mention here....it comes to about a ton and a half of stuff....my wife thinks I am crazy...I just love it....Also my Vic Swisschamp...yup that one too..and my Llama .357 Magnum with a 6 inch barrel and 50 rounds of 158 grain Magnum rounds...in their own belt-worn leather container.

Nine knives? Holy frijoles!

Are you sure every one is necessary? No redundancy or "mission overlap"?

Geez, I'd have to see if I own nine knives different enough to pull that one off. :)
