Camping - High Point State Park

My dad, my brother my nephew and my son and I went camping this past weekend in High Point State Park in Jersey. A Vex, SJTAC, BWM and a NMFBMLE came with us. I love my NMFBM, but that BWM is a batoning monster!!! Maybe it had something to do with the NorCal edge it was sporting.

Looks great! Never camped in High Point, camped in Stokes a couple of times. Based on your pics, I may have picked the wrong one.

I was real happy with the camp grounds. This is off of Sawmill Lake in High Point. The spots were clean, and far enough apart to be private. Plus High Point is so close, it makes for a great getaway without driving hours to get there. I left after work and had my tent up by 7, beer in hand (shhhhh).
 
Looks awesome.:thumbup: Would love to have seen that part of New Jersey when I was there. I only got to see the buildings and concrete part. This country boy would have been much more at home next to the lake.

The food looks good, too. The only bear I saw at Stokes, was the one that came into camp in the middle of the day. I chased him away, but he came back later and ate my bag of charcoal! Did you see any?

Yeah, strangest thing. I had all the food and cooking gear locked in the van. Left the bag of charcoal by the firepit. When we got back from swimming it was torn open and chewed up.

Wow, I never knew they would eat charcoal!! Guess I'll just stick to wood fires from now on ;)
 
Great pictures! Looks like the boys and the old man had a pretty good time too :). It's nice to see some good outdoor photos.
