SO, Jeremy & I decided to spend Sunday night in the woods w/our dog Becker............ & oh yeah.. we got to bring some knives too!

Here is our wonderful view from the ledge we camped on...

Our Campsite

5 minutes into setting up the horseflies were on us! It was BAD...we had to make a smudge-pot w/our fire because it was just too much..

......It kinda helped. ;)

The first thing Becker wanted to do was fetch the duck in the water ...

Before we knew it, the sun was setting.....and we were pretty excited to hear the sounds of the forest at night...

haha...a Random frog came to check out our camp ..

Beker passed out right away....he did ALOT of swimming while we fished before dark.....sorry no fish pics (we left the camera in the tent) :grumpy:

GOOD MORNING BECKER!!

We tried real-hard not to wake "dad".I'm sure all he's thinking about is swimming..

GOOD MORNING FOREST POND!

Jeremy knows if he wants breakfast, he better get some coals built up.

Becker was keeping an eye on some local wildlife....(ants)

Well he had a crisis....someone forgot to pack a spatula for the bacon & eggs.....needless to say Jeremy got a chance to do some bushcrafting---oh darn...

BK-2 to the rescue.....

The Bacon is waiting............

I Got Impatient...hahah

A little help from the Woodcrafter...

Tools that we took with us.

Becker decided to do some bush crafting as well..

We had a blast in the woods, hope this post inspires others to get out and enjoy the great outdoors.....Don't forget to bring the useful tools that Ethan created for us to enjoy =)

Great pictures.
Reminds me of back when I used to live in central Maine. I had some great times sleeping out under the stars.
Beautiful state, I miss it there.

Thanks for sharing.

Thanks for sharing the pic's, look's like you had a great time....good to see some blades in use as well. How is the canteen shop bushcrafter? I have the blindhorse plsk1 and while it is nice it didn't lift my skirt so to speak so I have been hesitant to try other blades by the blind horse crew even though they have a great rep and I do like the look of some of their blades

Great post of a great time. I love these threads. We always forget something too, but a Becker and some ingenuity* will get you by!

The Canteen shop Woodcrafter is a nice knife. I have only had it for a little over about 2 weeks but it has performed well so far. I am a huge scandi grind fan so that helps. Fit and finish is great. There is another bushcrafter I am looking at right now that a forum member is helping me with. Just have to wait my turn.

Great pictures, looks like an awesome place to camp - Where is it?

A little pond in Canton Maine, Forest pond.

My parents have a place in East Boothbay, ME. I sure wouldn't mind heading up there and then off to Forest Pond - Thanks for the tip.

If you go be ready for some 4 wheeling. Depending on the recent weather you are crossing semi deep mud puddles and climbing over exposed ledge and rocks. 4 wheel drive with low range helps alot.

Or you can park nearby and hike in. Let me know if you need any more advice.

Thanks for the pictures....living in New Hampshire has given me a great appreciation for the beauty of Maine. Your dog, nice name by the way, looks to have had fun and the view from your camp is stunning!! Keep 'em coming......

Is it my imagination or do I really smell bacon cooking? Great pics of a beautiful spot.
