My girlfriend and i went camping this weekend at Letchworth State park. My Becker BK2 came along too.
Here's my BK2 mounted on my old army ruck. I picked thisknife up from Toooj at this summer's WNY get together.
The mint tin fire kit.
My little fire kit: a DP Knives tin knife w/some fatwood and a Bic lighter.
The BK2 saw plenty of action, splitting firewood from Thursday afternoon up until Sunday morning's coffee fire.
These were my go-to wood splitting pals. The axe is an old Bridgeport Boy Scout hatchet.
All that split wood went to good use. I don't build my fires tall and bright, but I do build them low and hot for cooking.
Chorizo and spanish rice w/squash, zuccini, and bell peppers.
Corned beef and cabbage w/baby carrots and potatos. Hot dang this was a good meal.
The BK2 also helped me start a spoon carving project.
The BHK scandi took over from here.
We had a great time, and had enough time Sunday morning to brew up one last pot. To quote Bob Dylan, "One more cup of coffee for the road."
Thanks for looking!
