My girlfriend and i went camping this weekend at Letchworth State park. My Becker BK2 came along too. :)

Here's my BK2 mounted on my old army ruck. I picked thisknife up from Toooj at this summer's WNY get together.

My little fire kit: a DP Knives tin knife w/some fatwood and a Bic lighter.

The BK2 saw plenty of action, splitting firewood from Thursday afternoon up until Sunday morning's coffee fire.

These were my go-to wood splitting pals. The axe is an old Bridgeport Boy Scout hatchet.

All that split wood went to good use. I don't build my fires tall and bright, but I do build them low and hot for cooking.

Chorizo and spanish rice w/squash, zuccini, and bell peppers.

Corned beef and cabbage w/baby carrots and potatos. Hot dang this was a good meal. :D

The BK2 also helped me start a spoon carving project.

We had a great time, and had enough time Sunday morning to brew up one last pot. To quote Bob Dylan, "One more cup of coffee for the road."

Thanks for looking!

whoa that's some serious camping food!!!!!!!!! Thanks for sharing. Makes me want to pick step up my cooking

Good looking food and knives. How do you like that boat tail? What kind of sheath are you keeping your 2 in?> Nice!

Great photos and that's some serious camp food there. Nice spoon, too!

What's the double-bit hatchet? Still looking for one to flesh out my Nessmuk trio.

Awesome camp food and hardware you got goin' there. Looks like it was a good time.

Thanks, guys! We had a blast.

@Liveitloud: the BHK Boattail scandi is a great knife. It can really carve wood, and the full-sized handle is really nice to have. The sheath I use for my BK2 is a Spec-ops given to me by a friend. It works just fine.

@BRL: the little hatchet is a Kentucky belt axe. It's not a double-bit, but I can see how it looks like that in these pics. Just one edge on this one, as the other side is a hammer poll. It is small but handy. :)

Here's a few more pics, from my girlfriend's camera.

Thanks for sharing all the pictures and your experience. I am itching to go camping with the BK2 I ordered!

Must say that trip makes me very envious and I just got back from a couple days out with my BK7.

Beautiful pics, food and girl. Couldn't ask for more.

Thanks for posting!
