It's still in the beginning stages but I'm organizing a campout/shop tour where my shop is located. It's a 22 acre complex with a wooded area suited for camping. There are 2 ponds and plenty of parking near the campsite. There will be a small fee for use of the area for camping. I'm still working out the details. I just wanted to see if there is enough interest to make it a go. I'm looking at Columbus day weekend, Fri., Sat., Sun. Oct. 10, 11, 12. I attached a pic of the area for camping.

After our last campout there, I'm in as long as something else isn't going on that weekend that I've previously committed to. That was too much fun grinding and practicing some skills.
 
You guys on the east side have all the fun. Why don't we ever have anything like that here in California?
 
Is their bass in that pond?

By the way Scott, I heard from my sales guy at my store that their is a package from a Scott Gossman waiting for me there. I believe that is my WTK knife!!!!!!!:D
Is it just me, or does everyone feel like a little kid about to open a present when they get a new blade:D
 
I'm in as long as it works out with the new baby that will be 2 months old at the time. Maybe I can come for the day or two.

I don't know about that, you guys have some beautiful country out west, leaves me filled with envy when I see some of the amazing pics posted from out there.
 
Another Cali resident checking in. Looks like a great place for such an event. Too bad it's so far away and I think I have school, otherwise I would go for sure.
 
Marty, I will check but there shouldn't be a problem having dogs there. As long as they don't go after the domestic ducks, geese and wild geese that frequent the pond. Tony, there are plenty of fish in the pond. Not sure what, most of the local ponds have bass in them.
If this comes together, I plan on giving a grinding demo, free sharpening of knives, machetes and axes and will offer PSK knives for sale. I will have PSK 's heat treated ready to finish. You can watch me finish the knife. Marty, there is enough of a woods to have a plant walk if you'd like. The area to camp should handle 20 people maybe more.

That looks like an awesome time. Fishing, camping, knives, what more could you want?

Only bad thing about the west is everything is faaaarrrrrr away.
 
I live in Maryland and, if at all possible, would love to come too if you can get it together.
