Is anyone able to maintain or resharpen a convex edge onto thier knives? I can get mine really sharp! BUt never quite as sharp as that "factory" edge In the case of spydercos anyway. I actually improved the edge on my EKI 7.

Is it possible without "fancy" equipment?

Depends upon how fancy you consider a strop or a phonebook covered with wet-or-dry sandpaper.

Hi Thom! I believe I have that technology :p How do you do it? What are the results like?

You can strop any type of blade grind. I use this method on all my knives. Think about the way the old time barbers did it with a straight razor and they have a flat grind. Try it, it can't hurt.

OOps I gues I meant conCAVE ... )( .... NOT... ()... Like comes on a delica I think. sorry guys

The newer FRN-handled Delicas are flat sabre ground while some of the older FRN-handled, all of the stainless steel-handled, and the 25th anniversary edition Delicas are hollow(concave) ground. All of them will resharpen with a regular, flat stone.

The hollow grind on a Delica is the primary grind, you don't care what this is when sharpening as it only effects it in an indirect way. When sharpening the edge you mainly are mainly concerned with how the edge can be sharpened which is either flat or convex or some mixture of both. In any case they can all be sharpening readily freehand with a flat stone, though it can be easier on convex bevels to use sandpaper as noted in the above.
