Can a Kraton handle be dyed, stained or Krylon'd?

I hopefully will be receiving my Mtech 151 this week :p and have big plans for it. First, strip the coating from the blade and acid wash and sand it to a patina of a classic old Bowie. Then there is the issue of the black rubber handle which is not too old timey looking. I thought about replacing it with natural brown micarta but hate tearing a new knife apart, at least untul the new wears off.
Has anyone ever Ritz dyed Kraton? You can dye G10 or micarta scales by placing them in a simmering pan of Ritz but I was wondering if I stuck the Kraton handle upside down in a pot of simmering brown Ritz would it dye or just warp and ruin them. Not sure how much hot water that material can take.

The other option would be to Spray them with Krylon but I have zero confidence it would stay on.

I would wrap the Kraton in brown para-cord or leather lacing but I plan on using this knife to dress and butcher wild hogs and a wrapped handle would become a greasy, smelly mess.

No such thing as a good knockoff.

I guess I would have thought it was a swell knife when I was 10 and didn't know anything.

I would not try to dye or paint kraton. Solvents can be somewhat harsh on it. If you really want to invest the effort into it, replace the handle all together.
