Hey everybody,

I recently saw a 45 minute video i found on how a samurai sword is made. Is was a very informative video but I can't seem to find it with google anymore.

Anybody know what I'm talking about?

Wally Hayes did a "Katana" series video. That may or may not be what you saw. His video is longer than 45 minutes if I'm not mistaken.

English or Japanese? I've seen several short films but they have always been in Japanese.

there was also a small seasonal run of a tv show, that looked into weapons and inventions of the past and rebuilt them with modern technology and a few shop geeks making the modern version.

that was a very nice though not too in depth video on how the traditional swords were supposedly made. They even did this thing where alot of NAMED Japanese makers meet once in awhile to bid on raw materials that have been smelted down into billets (i hope that the right term, and the scope of the show is what i recollect it is. :D )

I am 90% sure this is the show, http://dsc.discovery.com/videos/time-warp-weapons/

Did you check youtube?
I saw a nice documentary there, I think it was narrated by Sean Bean. -Pretty interesting stuff.
