Back of drawer at thrift store.. $1.07 with tax. Handle’s been shortened, scrolling on top of blade. Ad hoc rivets.

Thanks for any comments.

Didnt consider home made..hmm..the animal fat crammed into knooks and crannies is pretty old.

Thanks for the insight

Can you show a closeup of the stamp on the scale?

There’s no stamp or mark anywhere I can see. Just the alternating file cuts on the spine. Any marks on the flats are long gone.

Might be a modified Russell Green River factory or diy handle "Buffalo Skinner".
If that is the case there's no way to age is aside from "sometime in the last 100 years or so."
That model is still in production.
Old Hickory has an identical model but with their ™ "forging marks" on the blade.

Nice score. 👍

I can stand to hear a little more.....
It was back when I was a cartoon character named nibbles in The Simpsons. I vowed never to turn back into a cartoon character after that. I did things no 2 dimensional being should ever do, things involving skinner, balls and sacks. We dated a few times off set after that, I shall speak of this no more.
