This Becker Necker Knife is new in the box. It is no longer in production and it is no longer available. It comes with a sheath, lanyard, and original paperwork. It has a superb blade of 2 different types of steel: 1) High-Carbon Steel which is easy to sharpen, strong, and able to hold an edge for long periods of time; and 2) "Swordsteel," a super-tough stainless steel with superior edge-holding qualities. This knife is very collectible!!!

I suspect the author of that description has no clue what their talking about. It would lead me to wonder if they are actually offering to sell a real Becker or a knock off.

I emailed and asked if he/she could tell me more about the stainless swordsteel in the knife. :D :p

Here was his reply:

Brain-Dead Seller said:
"Swordsteel" is a trademark. In addition to what is in the listing, the package insert says, "Blade stain, rust or corrosion are non-existent. To assure ruggedness and exceptional cutting ability, the steel is hardened and tempered to exact electronic controls."

I really need to go look at the package inserts on my two Neckers! I may have swordsteel too!!!

:D

Hey Guyon, if you have got one of those Composite 2 steel neckers. will you sell it to me?? :D :jerkit:

Camillus did have the trademark "SwordSteel" in the 70's.
I don't think it was used since, although it may still mantion it somewhere on the absurdly long (Bi-Lingual) Camillus Warranty sheet.

At best the seller is confused......

SwordSteel is explained exactly like what Brain Dead Seller said on the absurdly long Bilingual Camillus Warranty sheet. I just got a MIB Camillus 696 today. It's right there at the bottom of the first page.

Well, I looked, and the guy's not off his rocker. Right there under "WHY CAMILLUS HAS THE EDGE," the paperwork lists two types of steel: high-carbon steel and "swordsteel." :p

You're just toying with me, aren't you? :p

Moi? Toying with you?? :p

Well I guess so...................
But then again Ethan had at least a dozen designs the powers to be never let us work on; including folders & a "Joy Of Cooking" set of kitchen knives.
What a loss!! :jerkit:
