Hi guys, long time lurker here. A friend of mine is considering selling his model 5 Camp & Trail and asked me to see what I could find out about it. Can any of you share some knowledge of this blade? Thanks!

I put that auction up at his request & guys are asking for a buy it now price. We'd both like to see a collector who appreciates the knife get it so an estimate would be apprecciated. He wants to set a price that's fair to both parties. Thanks again!
 
I would let the auction run it's course.

The guys asking for a buy it now price are probably looking for a steal.

Looks like a new one is $315 from Randall (call it $330 with shipping). The rest of the mark up in the market is due to demand. I think that is hard to measure unless you let the auction run.

If he really wants a buy it now I would think $400 is about right if it's mint. But I'm not an expert by a looooong shot.

By the way, I just run it up to over $200 which didn't hit the reserve yet so he must have some idea of the bottom dollar.
