i have no idea, but I'm suprised bark river does customizations.

I would have thought it was a bark river if not for the comments and the "customized" etch. the small choil is definitely interesting.

Cool... It reminds me of a Randall model 15.

My bet is that it started life as an ASH1

A towel?

Oh ... you mean the knife!!:o

So, so many possibilities. I'll guess BATAC, though.

[It seems a reasonable evolution for those who love Barkie handles. I have to roughen mine up a bit, though.]

I think the knife started in the Scrap Yard ;)

I think you're right. :p A yard keeper.

The first pic isn't mine but the rest are. A squirrel chewed the handle when the first owner had this one.

They do a fine job of customizing pretty much any straight knife. The game warden in the last pic had a beat up coating and needed to be thinned out just a bit at the edge. Now it has a stupid sharp and thin (thin by Busse standards) convex edge.

So whats the story on the Warden with the bark River logo?

ETA: I see I was a little late, gotcha. :D

As soon as I saw the rounded base of the blade/choil area I knew it was a scrap yard.

Looking good there for sure.

Can you give us an idea of the cost range for something like that???

If not, can you PM it to me? ;)

It was $150 for everything you see including the work on the GW.

The GW was $20 and the work on the yard keeper was $130.

The yard keeper was as you see it above when I sent it BRKT. They stripped it....rehandled it and convexed it. The only thing they didn't do that I asked for was a stainless steel lanyard hole. I'll get that fixed later.

The GW was a normal one with the coating showing lots of wear. The partial stripping of the GW is a result of BRKT thinning the blade a bit for me.
