Heh, a bit melodramatic. If anyone has a Spyderco SS Police, could they please take a quick picture of it in their hand or palm?

Or maybe even next to something recognizable in length/size.

Im looking into buying one, but Im not to much on small knives, and it does look a little peckish, even though it is 9 some odd inches in length.

If you can't post it here, email it to me. Thanks alot guys!

I don't have any pictures but that thing is ALOT bigger in real life than you'd think from pics...

Sort of like when I saw an Endura for the first time...

The SS Police model is NOT a small (or light-weight) folder. It is however, fairly thin, which makes it easy to carry. I carry one as one of my "EDC's".

If you have a NEED for a LARGE folder, you might want to take a look at the Cold Steel Vaquero Grande...It has a 6 inch blade, with a slightly over 13 inch total opened length..

Already gone there Glockman, thanks to you I have one comming for my birthday and I can't wait!! Also Im purchasing a Cuda Maxx.

I REALLY want to see what this thing looks like gripped or in your plam, Im considering buying this over the Cuda, but I dont know for sure yet.

Someone help!

I remember when I first saw one in real life. I was stunned. Pictures don't do it justice. I'd go for the Cuda Maxx, it's even bigger

Yes, seeing one in life .. man, this is a long knife... comparable to a BM42 i think .. cause it felt longer than my 4" PC International Balisong ..

Here are a few quick pics for you, Didnt have anything handy laying around at 4 in the morn to use but a Coke bottle but thats about as common as you can get. Several diff hand grips also: And yes I was bored :P

Great thread, Fireshaker. It is often impossible to determine the size of knives as they are pictured by internet sellers. I have certainly had my share of unpleasant suprises when a knife turned out to be much larger or smaller than I expected. Knives are often photographed without any reference point to convey the actual size, and the consumer just doesn't know what he is really getting.

huh? How hard is it to look up the size on any number of internet sites (1SKS, for instance) and measure it out on a ruler?????

Holy crap! That actually surprised me! Its MUCH bigger than I'd imagined. I might even go with an Endura SS now instead. (I already have 2 gimongous knives comming in - CS Vaquero Grande being one of them)

Thanks for the pictures guys!

Its easy to determine length, but not demensions. Some things you have to actually see to get a full grasp of.

I've always thought sellers should have some sort of reference point to go by. (The coke bottle was a great idea, everyone knows how big they are).

Thanks for the pics again N2S and NGK!! Hell, post more of different knives if you feel compelled to! (Maybe the Endura SS? *wink*) :D

Edit: (Nice site NGK, Im bookmarking that one.)
