Can anyone help ID this Legitimus Collins machete?

Sorry for the poor quality photos, but we just moved and I don't have the internet connected yet.

Anyways, this was given to me this past week by my father in law after I mentioned how much I liked it the last time we visited them. It's a Legitimus Collins, but beyond that I know very little. It is 15.5 inches overall with a 10 inch blade. The pitting on the backstrap indicates that if it were modified it was done a long time ago since it is similiar overall.

Some have said circa 1940, but the white plasticized handle notes otherwise.

Any input?

Post '65. Collins never offered white plastic handles on domestic production. An Ebay seller had a bunch of these years ago, and I believe they were Colombian manufacture. It's a #66 pattern, even if it doesn't say it.
