Can anyone help me identify this knife?

This image is taken from IQ Knives, a mysterious person with one of the greatest collections of art knives I've ever seen. (Here is his Instagram page.)

I have emailed him, direct messaged him on Instagram, and have commented on his IG posts asking this question, but he has not responded.

I'm trying to simply find out the name of the maker of the below knife that sits between the Appleton and the Walker. From top to bottom the photo features Ron Lake, Ray (I think Ray, not Ron) Appleton, the unknown (to me) maker, Michael Walker, and Jurgen Steinau.

Thank you in advance!

That's a great collection all right. I'm going to guess Loerchner and will be interested to see the answer.

Thank you sir! I think you may be on to something. The pattern in the carving on the blade is very Loerchneresque. I will dig further and let you know if I'm able to verify for sure.

Absolutely a Wolfgang Loerchner folder (pronounced "Lorknur"). Hallmark curves and pattern.

He's AAA+ level collectible. You need DEEP pockets. Dan at IQ knives is highest grade collector and dealer. Good guy.

Good luck!

He's a world class maker by any one's standards in any circumstances.

But when you consider the absolute MINIMAL tooling/workspace he has and the amount of real, actual handwork.....he's not even on the same planet as most anyone else. He might not be human.

Ownership of a Loerchner is not in the cards for me (at least I don’t think! I still have my youth though), but I’m hoping to handle one some day. I’m lucky to have had the privilege of fiddling with some Lakes, Walkers, Steinaus, and other top-of-Mt.-Olympus art knives at knife shows, and at Nordic Knives before they moved out of California.

There is something magical about knifemaking at this level. When you get the knife in your hand some non-physical property of it jumps out at you. It’s hard (perhaps impossible) to explain.

The IQ knives site is like a fantasy dreambook. Look and drool. I don't know who this guy is but he's obviously got serious moolah. Make sure and check out the "more custom knives" tab.
