Can anyone help with a date

I have an antique Schrade barlow knife and was wondering if anyone here can date it for me or tell me how I would be able to date it. (( removed violation )) Thanks

Nice knife. Kinda hard to read the tang stamp, but this thread has a tang stamp chart posted, which should help you to narrow it down.

i just could not help it but what manufacturer is Scharade? i have found all kinds of spelling variations when looking for our favorite knives. doesn't anyone every look at the tang stamp and copy it?

It was just a spelling error but thanks for pointing that out. I'm sure there's probably some Chinese company that spells it that way just to sell knives to people thinking that the're getting a Schrade.

Doesn't everyone check their work when correcting someone else's spelling to notice that they spelled FOUR words incorrectly themselves? :thumbdn:

i know but was just trying to point out that on our unfavorite site the spelling is found in many different ways. besides i don't think i spelled every incorrectly just put in in place of the correct ever.
