Hello All- Like a million others I have become the owner of a couple old knives. I know absolutely nothing about knives, but over the past few days with the google....I’ve learned that they’re extremely interesting and quite beautiful. I’ve came across some information that i think pertains to it but I may be completely wrong. So I come to seek help. I’ve seen some like it called many different names....can you help me with what kind of knife...approx age of a knife like this...and is there any way to find out who might have made it without any marks. It may just be me seeing things..or someone hand wrote it at one time...but i swear if i look just right at the handle sometimes i can see the letters lARK...Anyway thank you for anything you can tell me.

Looks to me like an old carving or fillet knife. I doubt you are going to be able to find out who made it. But I could be wrong.
