Can anyone ID this Piranha Knife?

This type of knife is sometimes called a swinglock. I THINK that the blade is
154cm and that the handle is T-6 alloy. The design is based on a knife made
by a couple of guys named Wood & Irie. Pacific Cutlery was also involved in
production of this earlier knife, I think. I am not sure about the accuracy of
this info as it is second hand. Of my two, one is like new and is extremely
sharp. I bought the other one used, it is a little worse for wear and the
blade is really dull. Not sure about the edge holding abilities of this knife
because I don't know exactly what the previous owner put it through but
I plan on trying to sharpen it at some point soon. I'll post here after I try
to sharpen. Just out of curiosity, how much did this knife set you back
when you bought it in Neveda??

Thanks for the response. I could not dig up anything on it.

I bought it at a pawn shop for $55. They were asking $75, and I worked them down :D . However, I could see right away that this was a quality knife. And it truely stood out in the display compared to the other cheapie china knives.

The blade is beautiful, and shaving sharp. The action is very tight, no blade play, but smooth like butter. I wish it was a tad easier to open however. The purple anno isn't my favorite, but it was worth every dollar!

What was the MSRP on this knife BTW?

I paid $79.99 for the new one and $35.00 for the used one. Originally the
guy I bought from was advertising for $69.99 but said that due to cost, he
had to increase the price or stop selling them. He did both. Got me a new
one, jacked up the price, and then stopped selling them due to his cost. I
am glad I was able to get my hands on a new one and consider the $80
money well spent. This thing is SHARP! Anyway sounds like you got a good
price on the knife. If I come across any thing else, I'll post it here.
