First off, Im going to say I know nothing about traditional knives, so this may seem stupid to you guys. I recieved this knife from a lockbox of my grandpa's. It was the best looking knife. I was wondering what brand the knife is, or if its a cheapo. I am not looking to sell it, I am just curious. Sorry the pictures are bad, if you want better picture of the knife, I will take some more tomorrow, just tell me what angle or what you need to see. The main blade has what appears to be 835Y and the other side has "Sc" and the rest is covered by rust. Thank you for taking your time.

Schrade 835Y - nice find!

Just my two cents here... if it was your grandfather's knife, save it for when you have a kid (or when your kid is old enough) and pass it down

Schrade 835Y medium stockman birds eye ( Large pivot pins IE "Birds eye") some of THE BEST 1095 carbon steel ever put into a production knife IMHO!!!
check out the Schrade Forum and see the dedicated "Schradaholics"!!
Great piece with tons of character and family ties what more could a person ask for Congrats!!!
