Hey guys. Hello, this is my first post but I have been visiting this forum for several years. There's a wealth of knowledge that you all have and I've found it to be very valuable. I research mainly, never needing to ask any questions. Until recently when I was gifted a knife and I can't identify it on my own. It's a "kit" knife made by a customer of mine. He said he put it together about 20 years ago and left it sitting in a drawer ever since. He said he vaguely remembers something about it being a kabar blade but idk if I can agree with that. It is definitely stainless but the blade has no stamping or names on it. Very well polished and the edge is sharpened perfectly from the factory. IT almost has a convex profile with a factory ground v edge on it. maybe a 30* edge. The guard has a little rattle to it but the knife itself is solid. It has an aluminum pommel and wooden handle with some white "bone" washers that was shaped/sanded by the guy who gave it to me. Very kabar-esque profile or even buck 119 shaped. The edge has held up surprisingly well to some basic cutting tests. It seems fairly decent quality but I have no idea of the brand and or make. I've researched some current kit knives and there are some similar patterns available today but nothing exact. The tang goes all the way into the handle and has two pins securing it. I have attached a picture to show you all. The leather sheath was made after by one of his friends. It did NOT come with the knife. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
