A friend of mine was cleaning out his father’s house, and found this knife. I haven’t seen it yet myself, so I don’t have a picture of it, but I will soon. Here is a description of it… He said its from around the forty’s, or fifty’s, but doesn’t really know for sure. Its all metal, and the OAL is 5¼”, the blade is 2¼. Now, if you are holding the knife open, and the blade is on your left, there is writing on it, and it says… Imperial, underneath that is Prov. RI, and to the right of the both of them is USA. He said that he couldn’t open it, until it dropped, and he found out by accident that it has the same mechanism as the old Roy Rogers trick knife. You have to press the blade in, and hold it a certain way to release, and lock the blade.

Can anyone help me with this? Thank you all in advance!

I have the same knife, my grandpa left it to me. I'm just as curious as you are though.

First; get a picture of the knife.

Second; go to 'The Bernard Levine Knife Collecting and Identification Forum'; it is a forum on this, the General Knife Discussion Forum. They are the experts on knife identification.

Hope this helps. Walt
