You know, the ones like the Rescue and Salts. Does anyone collect these types of Spyders?

I am mainly curious because I am going to buy a folding dive/river knife in the near future and was probably going to get a Yellow Pacific Salt PE. I was just wondering what other option they had out there. I saw an Assist and I think I really liked it better than the Salt but it doesn't come in any brite colors like yellow. I liked the Cobra hood on the hole because I am sure it would help if you had wet hands.

Blunt-tip Spyderco folders:

This is from some old Spyderco catelogs that I have.

2005
93mm Rescue (also in blue)
79mm Rescue (also in orange)
Assist I
Assist II
D'Allara Rescue
Atlantic Salt (also in yellow and plain-edge)

2004
World Trade Center Knife (WTC)
Rescue 93mm (with index finger blade, also in blue or orange)
Rescue 79mm (also in blue or orange)

2002
Snap-It
Rescue Jr (also in orange, before the 79mm change)
Ladybug LBK II (also in red or blue)

2001
Rescue (also in orange, before the 93mm change)
Rescue jr (also in orange)

1998
Rescue (stainless steel)
Rescue Jr (stainless steel)

1997
Rescue (FRN Mariner style, also in orange)
Mariner (stainless steel)

I'm sure that there are other models and variations that I have never heard about.

I'm always on the look-out for a plain-edged SS Mariner

Good luck,
Allen.

The C 26 SnapIt EMT had a sheepfoot blade ( 2000 ?).

Long ago , the Probe, the Mini-Probe and the Pre-Diver had sheepfoot blades.

The Bob T & Bob T Jr. have a fairly blunt tip.

There was also the Mini Mariner, shown below, as well as the Rescue version of the "Q"

To appreciate how small the Mini is, you need to see it next to the full size Mariner

Rescue Q's in the center row below, came in both solid and several laser cut patterns...

Allen, if you're still looking for a PE Mariner, you might want to give these folks a call, or drop them an email. They've sold a few PE Mariners in ATS-55 lately on eBay under the name "sunblades" and may have one or more laying around, or be expecting more. They had one listed on eBay the other day, but appears someone hit the BIN button. I've dealt with them, and, in fact, got my ATS-55 PE from them a while back. Their prices are not "bargains", but not bad in my book for discontinued and somewhat hard to find items. The knives are brand new, in Japanese market boxes (at least the one I received was).

Ok, as long as we are making an exhaustive list of blunt-tipped Spydies:
Bread knife
Santoku
Maddox (sort of)
Gunting Trainer and CRMPT
Endura Trainer
Delica Trainer
Temperance Trainer

Not to mention the Kosher knife that I cannot for the life of me remember how to spell the name of. Challif maybe?

Dirk, I'm feeling so dumb after reading your post, had one of my Spydercards IN MY HAND yesterday, discussing it with someone! Duh!!!

Was there a SS plain-edged variation, similar to the Mariner but without a drainage hole, called the Paramedic? I remember something along those lines.
