Can anyone "lock" a thread other than moderators?

I seem to remember that the OP could lock a thread under the old software. Maybe, it was only a paying member, but I remember that you could lock sale threads and other threads.

Can anyone other than a moderator lock a thread?

It's similar to the old way, but different.

Just above the #1 in your first post in the thread, click on "Thread Tools". Then uncheck "Open".

I can lock mine . I don't know if there are restrictions for non paying members but the method is to go to "THREAD TOOL" drop down on the top right of your thread. You will see - among other options - OPEN. If you click open it will lock the thread - un-open the thread I guess. I didn't select the language.

It does not appear on mine. I had checked there before posting, but I checked again and I do not have the option. I was a Gold member before, so i guess that you have to have a paid membership to do it. I sent a request to the moderators in the specific forum to close it.
