Sorry, I don't know much about knives. Can someone help me? My Dad recently passed away and these were found in his closet. We had no idea he had them. We think that he may have got them while he was in the service in the 1940's, as he was a bombardier somewhere out in the Pacific. Any information would be appreciated. Both of the blades have a design etched in them. The knife sheath has some kind of metal ornamentation on it. It is about 14" long with the sheath. The blade part opposite from the point is wavy. The sword with the sheath is 23" long. The blade has a designed etched also (the pattern looks a little x rated to me, if you know what I mean). It's very heavy and the wood on the handle looks to be very dense. They are both in great condition, except the blades need some cleaning up.
Thanks for any information on these.

Don't clean them up it will reduce the value!

What he said!!!!! You want a qualified person to clean them. You can cut the value in half or worse by thinking you are doing good and cleaning them. The longer one with the genle surge in the belly is a Barong and the other wavy one is a Kris style sword.. Indo-Malay Arpeggio which includes the Philippine Islands.

Thank you everyone. My Dad was in WWII in 1945-1946 so I guess these must be about 69 years old. I guess I need to look for someone who deals professionally with knives to get them cleaned up. I do have 2 other ones also, all in relatively good shape.
