Can anyone post pics of the inside of a Maxpedition Gleneagle Messenger Bag?

Hmm, well, the zipper-to-access the main compartment without having to undo the fastex buckles is a very cool idea but quite frankly, that's a really expensive bag considering you have to add some interior stuff to make it better. I would expect that to be half as much as the listed price on websites where I have checked it out.

I agree. It's nice to add on things you need for your specific uses but for that price and being bare-bones.......i'd pass. I'd need another $50 -$75 to add velcro pouches and pen holders.

That's what I like about my Maxped. MPB. It doesn't have a large open cargo compartment but it does have a great organizational design. Easy access to different shaped compartments. Clean design that doesn't look particularly tactical. Add D-rings at the bottom and an extra strap, and it's a backpack.

Sometimes I could use a bit more room. If they made an MPB XL, I might never carry anything else. :)

I was interested when they first came out, not too tactical/tacticool.

Sticky points noted are the lack of admin/organization feature, the size; they're HUGE. Even the smaller Larkspur is said by most to be an "overnighter" in capacity rather than EDC.

Lastly, one more glaring, simple omission: where's the shoulder pad on the strap!?!!

Considering its price as well as the load it's expected to carry, you'd think it was necessary part of the bag and not just an add-on accessory.
