Hi everyone,
A while ago, I reckon about the mid eighties
(Don't time fly) I bought a Buck fixed blade. For the life of me though I can't remember the name or model number. I unfortunately traded the knife for another Buck a Frontiersman and really wish I had kept it.
I would dearly love to track one down and buy it for old times sake but obviously first step is remembering the name of it.
It was a fixed blade about 4.5" to 5.0" blade, it had a clip point (I think) and a green Krayton handle. A very memorable feature was that it had several saw teeth on the back spine of the blade, very ramboish in a mini sort of way
. Don't get mixed up with the Buckmaster though it was much smaller than that and didn't have a cross guard, the finger guard was formed as part of the handle. It came in a camo nylon sheath with a plastic insert (I don't think kydex was around back then). And that I'm afraid is all I can remember.
If anyone has any ideas from this sketchy description please let me know as I said I would love to try and track one down (guess I want to live my teens again).
Cheers,
Tony
