I bought this dagger at an auction about a year ago. I've looked and haven't found much information on it. I'm looking to find a value and some history on it. It has "Negrito Bolo" scribed on it. Thank you for your help.
It's from the Philippines. Probably WWII era. It looks like a typical WWII war souvenier. I have a couple with Bowie shaped blades, but otherwise they are pretty much the same. The handles are usually water buffalo horn. I like them, but they aren't worth a whole lot. They generally sell for $20 to $30 on eBay.
According to Wikipedia, "The term Negrito refers to a small-statured, dwindling ethnic group which is now restricted to isolated parts of Southeast Asia."
