I bought this knife from a friend for $5. I cleaned it up a bit and sharped it. It seems like a pretty good knife, and I'm satisfied with it, but I was a little carious if anyone could tell me a little bit more about it?

what I do know:
It has a stainless steel blade.
It is made in Pakistan.
It is a lockback lock.
It has a false bone plastic handle.
It has been in the Zion PD evidence locker.

PS. This is my first post.

It looks like real bone in the pictures, not plastic. That wouldn't make any difference anyway. It's still a $5 knife. Pakistan makes about the worst knives I've ever experienced. The steel they use typically won't get sharp, or hold an edge if it does. It's a scrap pot metal usually with enough chrome to make it not rust. Those are what we call "flea market" knives. China made knives, even the cheapest make better real knives. It's for show only pretty much.

If you're satisfied with it, this is the last place you wanna be. If you come here often, pretty soon you won't be satisfied with a 100 dollar knife. ;)

I have a few friends in Pakistan , several of who are into making knives and trying to get ahead in the business :)
The knife you have there looks like the bone may be real .. but you have it in your hand I am only looking at pictures .. its probably one that is made piece workers , hand assembled in backyard workshops , the eagle design is aimed at patriotic American folk usually . Not a high end knife obviously but if youre happy with it , that is what is important .

I agree withe the posts above me. As long as you like it then you should be good to go.
