Can anyone tell me what these are?

Kinda look like something from Africa or Middle East, I have seen ones like the longer skinny blades one but can't think of just where it came from. Pat
 
Thanks for the feedback. My first thought was they were tomahawks, but after some thought and some looking around I realized that was not the right guess.

Thanks. I have spend hours seaching the web with no results. I wonder if they were made for the tourist market?

The steel has a brown pateena and there is no rust. They are obviously hand worked.

Any info or ideas are appreciated.
