I think this is a 72 or 73 model, I'm wondering what type of wood was used I noticed that was two different types for that years.

Any help would be appreciated.

I also have a buck 119 with a single spacer in the hand guard marked with buck 119 usa no other markings, if anyone could help me with the year.

thank you Mike

Takao, The micarta inlays were only made one year, 1972. I've seen both type spacers on this early model, brass and stainless w/ small and large rivets.
Then the Shedua wood (I've not found a dictionary or google which recognizes this spelling "segua") came later if it was 1972 which I doubt it was real late probably more like 1973. Then yours of macassar ebony came later in 1973. So, lots of changes in a short time. Your 119 I've seen on the other thread is more like 1979-1985 and maybe 440C or 425.
